On tour with Band of Horses, Creighton Barrett passes his downtime by skateboarding and drawing. The surreal images of his work reflect the absurdity of day to day life––which appears even more strange on the road, away from home for months at a time.
Inspired by the future of yesterday’s time, sci-fi themes and 80/90s skate and surf graphics, Creighton’s solo show, LOW COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, is a collection of large, bold woodcuts developed from sketches spawned in hotel rooms, tour bus bunk beds, and hockey locker rooms all over North America and Europe.
